JEREMY J. SANDERS, President & CEO/Certified Agent
Mr. Sanders is a practicing attorney and the founder of Capstone. Prior to founding Capstone, Mr. Sanders was a practicing attorney at Porter & Hedges, LLP, one of the largest law firms in Texas. He is a seasoned negotiator that has represented various Fortune 500 companies, such as Goodyear, Shell Oil Company, Exxon Mobil and Texaco, in business transactions and complex litigation. Though he was frequently hired to represent large corporations, Mr. Sanders was referred to several professional athletes to assist them in contract negotiations to ensure the athletes were properly represented and received proper compensation on their playing contracts. Subsequently, Mr. Sanders formed Capstone and concentrated his legal practice on representing professional athletes in contract negotiations with professional sports franchises.
For his legal work in business and professional sports, Mr. Sanders has been honored in Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Magazine as being in the top 2% of lawyers under 40 years of age in the State of Texas. He was recently asked to give an address to a Shriner's National Athletics Seminar in Tampa, Florida explaining his vision for representing professional athletes in this new age, entitled "The New Era of Sports Agents." He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Sports Lawyers Association, and serves as one of a select few agents nationwide on the Director's unofficial Advisory Committee for the college football East-West Shrine Game.
Mr. Sanders has been a guest on MSNBC to discuss player contracts, endorsement opportunities for professional athletes, and current issues in sports. (See interviews on MSNBC: MSNBC-07 & MSNBC-07). He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his law degree from South Texas College of Law.
GARY W. CRAVENS, Vice President- Director of Football Operations and NFL Liaison
Mr. Cravens leads the Pro Football Division at Capstone. He has been scouting and recruiting in the college and professional arena for the past 25 years. His close relationships with scouts and front office personnel from all NFL teams allow Capstone clients to keep abreast of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as improvement areas to secure a better draft position and a longer playing career. Mr. Cravens supervises Capstone's rookie training program leading up to the NFL Draft and works extensively with Capstone draft prospects and personal trainers to ensure that Capstone clients are receiving the proper physical training they will need for this crucial time period. Mr. Cravens is instrumental in the firm's commitment to daily client maintenance as he also spearheads the firm's client maintenance efforts to ensure that each Capstone client receives the proper personal attention on and off the playing field. Mr Cravens is a graduate of Grambling State University and has worked in sales management and marketing for Fortune 500 companies.
CHANCE J. DENNISON, Vice President- Director of Baseball Operations and MLB Liaison
Mr. Dennison leads the Pro Baseball Division at Capstone. He has extensive experience in professional baseball after serving in both the scouting and operations departments for two Major League Baseball organizations. Mr. Dennison's knowledge of professional baseball and the reality of the business is invaluable to Capstone clients and their families. He personally works with each client to make sure the client is getting the proper exposure to MLB teams prior to the draft and during the client's playing career. His experience and network of contacts fostered while serving as a regional scout for a successful MLB franchise prove to be a unique and invaluable resource for Capstone clients as they make the transition into professional baseball and throughout their career. Mr. Dennison received his undergraduate degree from the University of West Florida.
