ABOUT ISP GAMES

The ISP Games is a dynamic international event organised by the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a global network of schools. It brings together students from ISP schools around the world to compete in a variety of activities and sports. This exciting event fosters teamwork, cultural exchange, and healthy competition, giving students the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and showcase their skills on an international stage.

CAPSTONE Sports partners with the International Schools Partnership (ISP) to organise and coordinate the ISP Games. As a trusted leader in international youth sports events, CAPSTONE Sports brings expertise in event planning, logistics, and athlete experience. Through this collaboration, CAPSTONE ensures the ISP Games are professionally managed, engaging, and memorable for all participating schools. Together, ISP and CAPSTONE Sports create a world-class platform that promotes sportsmanship, global connections, and student development.

Football (total 6 games per team)
8 team tournament
2 x groups of 4
League play consisting of 3 games per team
Knock out starting with quarter finals (1st from group 1 v 4th from group 2)
If ‘knocked out’ you continue to play against other ‘knocked out’ out teams for 5th - 8th place.

Rules
Each team must consist of no more than 12 players, with a 7-aside format being played across all age groups as follows:
U11: Players born on August 1st 2013 or after (Yr 5 - 6)
U13: Players born on August 1st 2011 or after (Yr 7 - 8)
*Each player can only play for only one team and all players must be full-time students at the school they represent.
7 v 7 format
No offsides, regular pass back rule. Normal throw-ins, with roll-on roll-off subs during a stop in play. Shin pads must be worn.
Players cannot score directly from kick off.

10 minute halves
3 minute half time

Late Kick Offs:
If a team is not deemed ready by the referee at kick off time they will begin win a 2 goal deficit
If a team is 5 or more minutes late, the result will be recorded as 6:0. Play can take place for the remainder of the time with no further scoring recorded.
Suspensions:
Coaches should maintain the spirit of the game at all times. If a player is not following the rules, it is expected that coaches remove the player before referees intervene.
A yellow card will result in the player being substituted immediately.
A red card with result in removal from the game and no replaced player
League standing tie breaker: 1. H2H, 2. GD, 3. GA, 4. GF 5. Penalties 3 each, followed by sudden death.
League points are awarded 3 (win), 1 (draw), 0 (loss)
Mercy Rule = 6 goals. Results will be recorded as 6:0 if the score reaches a 6 goal differential, regardless of score line . Play continues with no further scoring recorded.
Maximum of 5 minutes of injury time.
Any knockout game which finishes level will go straight to a penalty shoot-out (no extra time) - 3 penalties each followed by sudden death.
Any team who fails to meet tournament conditions may be disqualified from the tournament at the discretion of the tournament organisers. A disqualified team may be allowed to play games, but all results will be recorded as 6 – 0 defeats.
The tournament committee reserves the right to make a final decision on any aspect of the rules above.
